Frequently asked questions
What does an email QR code do exactly?
It encodes a mailto: link. Scanning opens the default mail app with recipient, subject and body pre-filled — the person just hits send.
Can I pre-fill the message text?
Yes — both the subject and the body. Keep them short: they are stored inside the code, and very long text makes it dense and slower to scan.
Will it work if the person has no mail app configured?
The phone will prompt them to choose or set up a mail app — same as tapping any email link on the web.
Is this better than printing my email address?
A scan takes two seconds and eliminates typos. Printed addresses get mistyped or ignored; a QR code turns intent into a sent message immediately.
